Standing for Freedom: The “No Kings” Protest in Modesto

Today I had the privilege of taking pictures at the No Kings protest in Modesto, and honestly, it was an incredible experience. The energy, the unity, and the kindness of everyone out there truly moved me. People from all walks of life showed up — standing shoulder to shoulder — to speak out against hate, division, and dictatorship.

There was something powerful about seeing strangers come together for a shared purpose: protecting democracy and reminding everyone that no one is above the people. The signs, the chants, the conversations — they all carried a message of hope and strength.

As a photographer, I tried to capture not just the crowd, but the spirit of the day — the faces full of determination, the laughter between friends, the quiet moments of reflection. It was a beautiful reminder that when we come together, kindness and courage can drown out fear.

Today wasn’t just a protest — it was a statement. No kings. No hate. Just people united for what’s right.
