Today is my mother in laws birthday. She is no longer with us but she will always live in our hearts…She was such a wonderful woman. A woman of strength, kindness, compassion and love. I did not speak spanish and her english was very little but we spoke to each other with our hearts. I look back now and wish I had not always been so rushed, so short with her at times…..Things we always think after we lose someone that we love. We wish we had spent more time with them, said nicer things, really valued who they were to us but often times we get so busy in our own little world that we forget that they will not always be there and then we live in regret after they are gone….I do not want to live that way anymore… I want to love those in my life with all that I have and I want them to know how much they are cherished and what an impact they have had on me as a person. There are just those certain people that just leave you better than when they found you and she was one of those people in my life….I say mother in law but she was not just that to me, she was my second momma and a HUGE part of my life for 22 years…She never judged me, always accepted me and did so much for me…She raised her son to be the man he is today….The husband, the father and the friend that so many people love and respect. He is my life and my world and he is in so many ways like his mother….Thank you Momma for being you and for always loving me even when I did not deserve that love. I honor your birthday today because I honor you…Love you always.
Easter is always fun for the kids! This year we got to coloring eggs a bit late but better late than never! My son was really missing his buddy Aaron this year…One of our best Easters was when Aaron came over and helped color eggs! We really miss him and had lots of memories of him to keep us smiling this year….Great times with family and good friends!
This is my my typical Saturday! The little things you never think to capture that mean the most….I love the comfort of knowing hubby is in the garage doing what he loves to do…..He has made breakfast for the kids and headed out to work on his bike, his friends bike, or anything that pertains to bikes! My kids are on the computer, playing, eating, leaving things all over the house….I’m usually running around trying to clean up the messes….This Saturday I decided that instead of cleaning up, I would capture the day….As a photographer I judge my photographs to the point of missing the moment…I have promised myself to not do that anymore….To capture the crazy, the quiet, the silly, the magical times that I see around my home and in my kids everyday! No matter what the surroundings look like, if they have dirt on their face, if the house is dirty or the picture is out of focus….The memories will be ones that my kids will one day cherish and look back on with joy…..
My son was baptised yesterday and it was AWESOME! Brought tears to my eyes to see him accept Jesus into his heart and come up out of that water! It was so sweet! He was to short to sit on the step, and not go under the water, so Pastor Mitch let him sit on his lap. Was just amazing. I want to thank his youth Pastor Simone. Simone is so awesome with all the youth! Pastor Verna , Pastor Mitch and Pastor Dana. I could not belong to a more loving church than Soul Harvest Worship Center! A great new memory for our family!
